1880: It looks like much of the family left Indiana when it appears Homer passed away since the last Census, with Sarah and her youngest daughter Emma living together in LaGrue, AR and the boys Dayton and Edward in nearby DeWitt, AR. which are all in the same Enumeration district within Arkansas County

- Dayton Bowers family in 1880 United States Census, DeWitt, Arkansas and had a large family there, joined by his brother Edward Bowers, who also ended up having a large family in DeWitt and became the town's Postmaster

Bowers, and Ethel Bowers in attendance; EV could be either Edward or Emma or a child of any of the Bowers; HW could be grandfather Homer; Ethel must be a child of one of the Bowers; showed a gift from Mr. Harley Bowers and from Miss Stella Bowers: wonder if two others listed among other family members are actually related: Mrs. Georgia Williams and Mrs. C.F. Maxwell (could be Catherin Bowers?)

Current discrepancies in facts
- Catherin and Alice, born in 1843 and 1848 respectively, do not appear in the 1860 Census. Could be death or that at least Catherin married at age 16-17.
- No listing of Theodore on any of the Census records, but there is an Edgar -- could they be the same person and Ted a nickname?
- Sarah Bowers in 1880 Census is shown to be 53, born in Indiana, Father in Virginia, Mother from KY. For 1860 and 1870 Census, she is listed as 35 and 45 respectively and those years did not record record of parents' birthplace. Convinced that she is the same Sara in 1880 as previous year because she is living with Emma Bowers, who is the only 21 year old born in Indiana in the 1880 Census record.
